Luke 18 Project is a campus prayer movement that exists to fuel a culture of prayer and fasting to contend for revival and awakening on college campuses. Our goal is not to start new campus ministries where ministries already exist, but to partner with campus ministries to equip and resource student leaders and ministry staff to establish a culture of prayer & worship in their ministries and on their campuses that would overflow into a lifestyle of missions and discipleship.
A New Jesus Movement: Just as God visited the Hippie Generation of the 1960’s and awakened hundreds of thousands of youth to the love and grace of God, we seek to call students to contend for a new Jesus Movement in our generation to sweep across the campuses of our nation. Our hope is that many believers would be awakened to the love of God afresh and believe together for another Jesus Movement!
A Campus Prayer Movement: Recognizing that the hour we are living in is desperate and urgent, we can not live our lives “business as usual.” Instead, we desire to challenge college students to ignite a culture of prayer on their college campus by planting prayer furnaces on every college campus in America. Our vision is to saturate our nation under a canopy of worship and prayer as young people gather together in prayer furnaces exalting Jesus and contending for revival and spiritual awakening on our campuses and in our nation. Our goal is not the size of groups but persistence and commitment to unrelenting prayer for breakthrough.
A New Student Volunteer Movement: Over 100 years ago, God stirred the college students of our nation to finish the task of world evangelization. Within 30 short years, over 20,500 students were mobilized to go to the foreign mission field as they gave up comfortable lives and the so-called “American Dream” to abandon themselves wholly to the purposes of God in their generation. We believe that the Lord is again raising up a radical movement of students and young adults that is committed to unrelenting prayer and the work of missions.
